HOTEL ROOM DESIGN BEFORE AND AFTER

This is one of the rooms I did for the No 11 Brunswick Hotel and Brasserie in Edinburgh.

The brief was to turn a single bedroom into a small double, making sure it’s individual and quirky but still in keeping with the general look of the hotel. The size of the room is 12 sqm and there is a lack of natural light. The original furniture was dark and chunky, making the room feel small and crowded. The budget was modest and timescale was short but we are pleased that we delivered on both accounts.

We’ve created a calm scheme using grey, white and touches of yellow. The wonderful Facade wallpaper from Zoffany is a gentle nod to the Georgian period of the Hotel.  With the use of modern furniture, light reflecting accessories and clever use of colour we’ve transformed this room into a comfortable double room what is always booked. In fact we had to wait for weeks to do the photoshoot!

Have a look at the before, during and after photos.
