Introduction
A full renovation asks a lot of a home, and of the people living through it. My role is to hold the whole thing together- design, trades and sourcing- so you have one clear point of contact from first concept to final finish.
With over 25 years in interior design and retail design, and a portfolio spanning private homes, boutique hotels, cafes and retail fit-outs, I bring a level of trade management and sourcing experience that most residential-only designers simply don’t have. I work with homeowners renovating a full property, whether that’s here in Edinburgh or a project managed remotely for clients abroad. Complete residential renovation
A single, turnkey service covering design, trade coordination and sourcing, from initial concept through to the final finish.
This isn’t a room-by-room service. I take on whole-property renovations where a considered, joined-up approach makes the biggest difference, both to how the finished home feels and to how smoothly the project runs. I also work with clients renovating a UK property while based overseas, managing the entire process on their behalf.
The Interior Design Process
1. Understanding your brief
Listening carefully to your requirements is central to every project. This includes how you’ll use the space, your preferences, timescales and budget.
2. Developing the design concept
This stage explores your brief in more depth, developing design ideas and solutions that respond to your property and how you live.
3. Mood boards and visual direction
Mood boards bring together colours, finishes, materials and imagery to give a clear visual direction before moving into detailed design and specification.
4. From concept to completed scheme
The design is developed in detail, covering space planning, lighting, furniture, finishes and fittings, always balancing aesthetics with practicality and budget.
5. Detailed design and bespoke furniture
Where needed, I prepare scale drawings, technical details and visuals to support bespoke furniture, joinery and finishes, so trades and craftspeople can deliver the design accurately.
6. Trades management and sourcing
I coordinate trades and suppliers throughout, including product purchasing and consolidated deliveries, so everything arrives and installs in the right order without you having to manage it.
7. Delivery
I see the project through to completion, so the home is ready to live in, not just ready to look at.
